Police Log: Operating Without a License, Threatening Self Harm

Friday, Jan. 27
12:36 a.m.: A caller reported that a driver had struck a telephone pole on East Main Street and snapped it in half. When officers arrived on the scene they arrested Jeanne S. Murphy, 48, of 180 Hayden Rowe St., and charged her with a marked lanes violation and drunken-driving. Due to the snapping of the pole, a portion of East Main Street was closed throughout the morning.
5:45 a.m.: A Milford officer assisting with the detail caused by the previous incident stopped a driver for failure to obey a barricade. Jose M. Mourao, 69, of 181 Hollis St. Framingham, was arrested and charged with driving without a license and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
8:20 a.m.: A driver crashed into the stone wall in a Main Street parking lot. She arranged her own tow.
8:24 a.m.: An employee of Lumber Street Auto reported a man in the woods across the street. The man was reportedly wearing a yellow rain coat and hiding behind trees. An officer was unable to locate the suspicious person.
12:43 p.m.: The Fire Department reported an alarm activation on Fruit Street.
12:44 p.m.: A person walked in to the police station to report that their mailbox on Frankland Road had been vandalized.
5:45 p.m.: The police department received a 911 call about a two-car crash in Wrentham. They transferred it to the Wrentham police.
6:00 p.m.: An officer stood by on Whirty Circle while the fire department responded to an alarm activation.
6:30 p.m.: A caller reported that there were vehicles parked on both sides of Wedgewood drive, blocking traffic from passing. When an officer responded he checked the entire road and it was all clear.
8:21 p.m.: A caller reported suspicious people on Wilson Street. An officer responded and spoke to the people; it was a family out walking.
8:58 p.m.: Officers responded to Clinton Street after a report came in that a driver had hit a fire hydrant in Holliston and left the scene.
9:13 p.m.: A vehicle was parked on the old Weston Nurseries property that is now part of Legacy Farms. The person was from Russo Bros. and was checking a pump.
9:22 p.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle parked on Lakeshore Drive.
9:55 p.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked on East Main Street.
11:50 p.m.: A caller reported a tall person standing on the side of Cedar Street near the headquarters for the state park. An officer did not find the person there but later found them on Grove Street. The person was given a courtesy ride.
Saturday, January 28
12:36 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked on Hayden Rowe Street.
8:31 a.m.: Multiple callers from Connelly Hill reported vandalism to their mailboxes.
9:43 a.m.: A caller from Valleywood Drive reported overnight vandalism.
7:56 p.m.: A caller reported that someone was inside the unoccupied unit across from hers at Pinecrest Road. An officer spoke with the person who was the new owner of the unit.
9:05 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle parked at the end of his driveway on Spring Street. An officer located the vehicle along with three others, they appeared to belong to people who were attending a party at the neighbors house.
9:51 p.m.: An officer assisted a drive who was out of gas on West Main Street.
10:39 p.m.: An officer checked a car on Price Street.
10:57 p.m.: A caller reported hearing fireworks near Winter Street. An officer responded and found the area to be quiet.
Sunday, Jan. 29
1:02 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle that was parked on Hayden Rowe Street.
2:21 a.m.: Jacob Colby Cunningham, 20, of 83 Concord St., Ashland, was arrested on East Main Street and charged with a marked lanes violation and drunken-driving.
1:56 p.m.: An officer checked a motor vehicle on Wilson Street.
3:01 p.m.: An Elm Street resident sent her boyfriend a text threatening bodily harm to herself. Hopkinton police officers were unable to get in touch with anyone at the residence. They put out a bulletin with information on her vehicle. Middleboro Police and the state police were able to track the vehicle and stop her in Wareham where she was transported to the hospital.
4:05 p.m.: A person walked in to the station to report credit card fraud.
5:01 p.m.: A caller reported the sound of semi-automatic weapons being fired on Fruit Street. Officers were unable to find the source of the noise.
7:42 p.m.: A caller reported that someone on Hayden Rowe Street appeared to be pumping water in to the street. Contact was made with the person who removed their hose from the street.
11:04 p.m.: A caller reported that a car hit a telephone pole outside of their house on Fruit Street. Officers responded and one person was taken to the hospital.
